The Atlantic Water Gardens black silicone (2.8 oz tube) is a waterproof, flexible sealant formulated for use in pond and water feature construction and repair. The black colour blends naturally with pond liner, rock work, and dark substrate materials, making bead lines nearly invisible in the installed feature. It cures to a flexible, watertight seal resistant to continuous water immersion, UV exposure, and the temperature cycling typical of outdoor Canadian pond environments — from summer highs above 30°C to winter lows well below freezing.
Applications
Use to seal liner overlaps and pond liner penetrations for waterfall pipes and return fittings; to bond rocks and boulders in a waterfall face for stability and flow direction; to seal cracks in fibreglass fountain basins or ornamental features; to secure tubing in fittings where hose clamps alone leave residual seepage; and to seal around electrical cord entries in pump housings and junction boxes. The 2.8-oz tube size is appropriate for focused repair and detail work.
Cure Time
Full cure typically takes 24 hours at room temperature; allow 48–72 hours before filling or refilling the pond or feature. Avoid application at temperatures below 5°C for reliable cure.
