Valve Cover O-Ring for Aqua UV Ultima II Filters, 2" Valve
The valve cover O-ring on large Ultima II filter units seals the top of the 2" multi-port valve housing during operation and backwash. When this seal hardens or cracks after years of UV and pressure exposure, water seeps around the cover. This OEM replacement fits Ultima II filters with 2" valve assemblies, typically the largest models in the range (15,000 gal and up), and restores a complete seal.

Diagnosis
Water collecting around the valve cover after backwash or during normal circulation points to a failing cover O-ring. Inspect the O-ring for hardness, discolouration, or visible cracking. A firm or brittle O-ring has lost its sealing properties and needs replacement before the leak worsens.
Installation
Shut down the filter and depressurize the system. Unbolt the valve cover from the housing. Remove the old O-ring from the cover groove. Clean the mating surface to remove algae, mineral deposits, or debris. Apply a light coat of silicone grease to the new O-ring and press it into the groove. Reinstall the cover, tightening bolts evenly in a cross pattern. Restart the system and check for seeping at the valve cover during the first backwash cycle.
Ideal for owners of large Aqua UV Ultima II pond filters (15,000 gal and up) with 2" valve assemblies where the valve cover is weeping.
