Stop Pond Water From Draining Back Through Your Plumbing
The Aquascape 3-inch Check Valve Slip Fitting is a one-way flow control device for 3-inch (7.6 cm) pond plumbing that allows water to pass in one direction and seals shut when flow stops. It is designed for slip-fit connections, meaning the pipe or fitting slides into the valve socket and bonds with solvent cement for a permanent, leak-free joint.
Protect Your Pump and Pond Level
Without a check valve in the discharge line, water drains back through the pump each time it shuts off, draining your pond or waterfall basin by as much as the plumbing volume holds. This check valve closes automatically the moment flow pressure drops, keeping water where it belongs. The slip fitting also allows installation in tight plumbing runs where threaded fittings are impractical.

How to Use
Identify the correct flow direction marked on the valve body. Dry-fit the valve into the discharge line to confirm alignment. Apply PVC primer to the pipe end and valve socket, then apply PVC solvent cement and push the pipe firmly into the socket with a slight twist. Hold for 30 seconds. Allow the joint to cure fully before pressurising the line (minimum two hours at temperatures above 10°C/50°F).
Ideal for 3-inch discharge plumbing on large pond pumps, waterfall systems, and any installation where backflow would drain a header pool, waterfall basin, or pondless reservoir.
