Aquascape Aquasurge Check Valve Adapter

Add Check Valve Protection to Your AquaSurge Plumbing

The Aquascape AquaSurge Check Valve Adapter is a purpose-built adapter fitting that allows a standard Aquascape check valve to be installed in the plumbing line of AquaSurge series submersible pumps. It bridges the connection between the pump's discharge fitting and a check valve body, providing backflow prevention without custom plumbing modifications.

Stop Backflow Without Cutting Into Existing Plumbing

When an AquaSurge pump stops, water in the discharge pipe drains back through the pump and into the pond or basin. In pondless waterfall systems, this can significantly lower the water level in the feature. The check valve adapter provides a compatible attachment point for a check valve inline with the AquaSurge discharge, holding water in the pipe when the pump is off and reducing the re-priming demand at start-up.

How to Use

Connect the AquaSurge Check Valve Adapter to the pump's discharge fitting using the appropriate hose clamp or threaded connection. Attach the check valve to the adapter's outlet fitting in the correct flow direction (arrow on valve body pointing away from the pump). Connect the discharge hose or pipe to the check valve outlet. The assembly requires no tools beyond a screwdriver for hose clamps. Test the check valve action by running the pump briefly and then shutting it off to confirm the valve closes and retains water in the pipe.

Ideal for pondless waterfall and stream installations using AquaSurge pumps where backflow causes significant water level drop in the feature between pump cycles.
