Protect Your EcoWave 5000 Water Chamber Against Leaks

The Aquascape EcoWave 5000 Water Chamber Cover and O-ring is a factory replacement cover and gasket for the water chamber section of the EcoWave 5000 submersible pond pump. When the water chamber cover cracks or the O-ring loses its compression seal, internal pressure bypass reduces pump output and can allow water to migrate toward the motor housing in the mag-drive assembly.

Maintain the Mag-Drive Pressure Boundary

The water chamber cover in a mag-drive pump is the pressurised boundary that keeps water in the impeller zone and separated from the magnetic drive components. Unlike shaft-seal pumps where the main wear point is the mechanical seal, mag-drive pumps depend on this cover and its O-ring to maintain the separation between the wet and dry sides. Replacing both the cover and O-ring together at the first sign of leakage prevents a minor part failure from escalating into motor damage.

How to Use

Remove the EcoWave 5000 from the pond and unplug it. Open the pump casing to access the water chamber cover. Remove the existing cover and O-ring. Clean the O-ring groove and mating surface on the pump body. Install the new O-ring from the kit, seating it evenly in the groove without twisting. Press the new cover onto the pump body until all retention points engage. Reassemble the outer casing. Test in a bucket of water for five minutes before returning to service.

Ideal for maintaining Aquascape EcoWave 5000 submersible pumps in large water garden and koi pond installations where the water chamber cover has cracked or the O-ring has lost its sealing function after extended continuous operation.
