When original screws corrode and break off in the filter housing, removing the mat for cleaning becomes difficult and the mat can shift in the housing during water flow.

How to Use
Remove the old corroded screws using a standard flathead or Phillips screwdriver, depending on the head type. Clear any corrosion debris from the threaded inserts in the filter frame before installing the new screws. Thread the brass screws by hand first to confirm proper engagement, then tighten with a screwdriver until snug. Do not overtighten; brass is softer than steel and the threads in the plastic frame can strip under excess torque.
