Complete Medium Water Garden Kit With Tsurumi 3-pl 3000 External Pump
The Aquascape Medium Pond Kit (11 ft x 16 ft / 3.4 m x 4.9 m liner) pairs the complete water garden construction package with the Tsurumi 3-pl 3000 external pond pump, rated at approximately 3,000 GPH (11,350 LPH). The Tsurumi external pump mounts outside the pond, draws water through a separate suction line, and pushes it to the biological filter and waterfall, keeping the pump body accessible for service without wading into the pond.
External Pump Advantage for Maintenance-Focused Builds
Submersible pumps require pond entry or full drainage to access for service. An external pump like the Tsurumi 3-pl 3000 mounts at grade on a dry pad and can be inspected, cleaned, or replaced without disturbing the pond. For water gardens in active service with koi, minimising pond disturbance during pump maintenance reduces fish stress. The 3,000 GPH flow rate is matched to the medium kit skimmer and BioFalls filter capacity.

How to Use
Follow the Aquascape construction guide for excavation, liner placement, and skimmer and BioFalls installation. Plan the external pump pad location close to the skimmer on a stable, level surface above the waterline. Route the suction line from the skimmer to the pump inlet and the discharge line from the pump to the BioFalls filter, following the Tsurumi installation guide for priming and suction line specifications. Prime the pump before first start. Allow biological filtration to establish for four to six weeks before full fish stocking.
Ideal for medium pond builds where the owner prefers an externally accessible pump for ease of maintenance, and for installations where the pond location makes submersible pump access difficult.
