DIY Expert Note: When using the Pro Air 20 in winter, you must move the membrane diffuser up to a maximum depth of 2 feet (or half the pond's depth). Do not leave it at the deep bottom. Circulating water from the very bottom in winter mixes the warmer refuge water with the freezing surface water, effectively super-cooling the pond and endangering hibernating fish.
