Replacement Inlet Sponge Filters for the Pond Aerator Pro Compressor

The Aquascape Pond Aerator Pro Air Inlet Sponge is a replacement foam filter for the air intake of the Aquascape Pond Aerator Pro compressor series. Each pack contains three sponges. The inlet sponge prevents dust, insects, and fine debris from entering the compressor's air intake, protecting the internal diaphragm and check valves from abrasive contamination.

Protect the Compressor Before It Reaches the Diaphragm

Aeration compressors draw a continuous stream of ambient air through their intake. Without an inlet filter, fine grit, spider webs, and airborne debris accumulate inside the compressor and accelerate wear on the diaphragm, the component responsible for generating the air pulse. A clogged or missing inlet sponge shortens diaphragm life significantly. Replace the inlet sponge at least once per season or whenever the sponge is visibly compressed, discoloured, or blocked.

Specification Value
Compatible With Aquascape Pond Aerator Pro compressor series
Quantity 3 sponges per pack
Material Open-cell polyurethane foam
Function Air intake filtration to protect compressor internals
Replacement Interval At least annually, or when compressed or discoloured

How to Use

Power off the compressor before servicing. Locate the air inlet port on the compressor housing and pull the existing sponge free. Press the new sponge firmly into the inlet port until seated. Confirm the sponge sits flush and does not restrict airflow noticeably when you briefly run the compressor. Store the spare sponges in a sealed bag in a dry location.

Ideal for seasonal maintenance of Aquascape Pond Aerator Pro compressors, and for replacing sponges showing signs of compression, tearing, or heavy soiling that reduces airflow.
