Submersible Pond Powerhead for Aeration and Circulation
The Aquascape Pond Powerhead is a compact submersible pump designed to create directional water movement and supplemental aeration in ponds and water features. Unlike a main circulation pump connected to a filter or waterfall, the powerhead positions freely in the pond to move water through specific zones, break surface stagnation, and increase dissolved oxygen at fish-holding areas.
Targeted Water Movement Where It is Needed
Large ponds with single-point circulation develop dead zones where water stagnates, dissolved oxygen depletes, and waste accumulates. A powerhead positioned in a stagnant corner or behind a rock cluster creates local circulation that the main pump does not reach. It also prevents surface ice formation in winter when used with a thermostat or de-icer, protecting fish in the deepest pond zone from oxygen deprivation under a frozen surface.

| Type | Submersible directional powerhead |
| Installation | Fully submerged, orientation-adjustable |
| Safe For | Koi, goldfish, aquatic plants, wildlife |
How to Use
Submerge the powerhead and orient the outlet toward the stagnant zone or fish-holding area you want to circulate. Adjust outlet angle after the pump is running to confirm flow reaches the target area. Use in combination with an air pump for maximum dissolved oxygen support in warm summer months or under ice in winter. Clean the intake screen every 4 to 6 weeks.
Ideal for larger ponds with stagnation zones, koi ponds needing supplemental circulation during peak summer heat, and winter pond management where preventing oxygen deprivation under ice is the goal.
