Fine Mechanical Filter Pads for Improved Water Polishing
Aquascape Rapid Clear Fine Filter Pads are a polishing-stage mechanical filtration medium that captures small suspended particles the main filter media pass through. Used as the final stage in a filter setup, they catch the fine particulate that makes pond water look hazy rather than clear.
Polishing Stage for Crystal-Clear Water
Main biofilter and waterfall filter media are designed for biological activity and primary mechanical filtration, not fine particle capture. The rapid clear pads add a polishing pass that removes the fine organic particulate and microalgae clumps that slip past coarser media, producing noticeably clearer water than the primary filter achieves alone. Cut to fit and replace as needed when flow-restricted.
| Spec | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | Fine mechanical polishing pads |
| Compatible With | Aquascape filter housings as downstream polishing stage |
| Safe For | Koi, goldfish, aquatic plants, wildlife |
How to Use
Cut pads to fit the downstream stage of your filter housing. Install after the primary biological and mechanical media in the flow path. Replace pads every 2 to 4 weeks or when they restrict flow significantly. Do not attempt to clean and reuse fine pads as they compress permanently after loading with fine particulate.
Ideal for pond owners who want clearer water than their primary filter alone achieves, particularly in high-fish-load ponds during warm summer months when algae and fine organic particles are most prevalent.
