Pond Water Conditioner and Clarifier

The Atlantic Water Gardens 8 lb. block is a concentrated, slow-dissolving pond water conditioning treatment designed to clarify water, reduce dissolved organics, and improve overall pond water quality over an extended treatment period. The block format provides a sustained-release delivery mechanism — rather than a single large dose, the block dissolves gradually over several weeks as pond water flows across its surface, delivering a consistent treatment concentration that is easier for the pond ecosystem to process than intermittent large additions.

How It Works

Place the block in an area of the pond with moderate water movement — near a pump discharge, skimmer intake, or waterfall base. Water flowing across the block surface dissolves the active treatment material at a controlled rate determined by water temperature and flow velocity. Higher temperatures and faster flow increase dissolution rate; cooler, slower-moving water reduces it. Position accordingly for the desired treatment intensity.

Applications

Particularly useful in spring pond opening when accumulated organic matter from winter causes cloudy or discoloured water; during hot summer periods when algae and bacteria counts peak; and in autumn to reduce the organic load entering the pond from leaf fall and plant dieback before ice-over.
