The Atlantic Water Gardens anti-splash mat roll provides 20 linear feet (6.1 m) of flexible, open-cell foam matting at 28 inches (71 cm) wide for custom-cut anti-splash installation in fountain basins, pondless waterfall reservoirs, and birdbath features. The open-cell mat structure reduces water splash from returning fountain streams, significantly lowering water loss from evaporation and splash-out — particularly important in summer when pond features can lose water rapidly to surface agitation.

How It Works

Placed floating on the water surface inside a basin or over an Eco-Blox reservoir, the anti-splash mat absorbs and dampens the kinetic energy of returning water streams — whether from sphere fountains, urn displays, wall spouts, or pondless waterfall sheets. Instead of splashing and bouncing water out of the basin perimeter, the returning water is absorbed and released gently below the mat surface, where it recirculates quietly and efficiently. The roll format allows the mat to be cut to fit any basin shape or size.

Sizing & Cutting

The 28 × 20-foot roll provides material for multiple installations or for a single large basin. Cut with scissors or a sharp utility knife. Also available in pre-cut sizes matched to the CFBasin24 and CFBasin36.
