Waterfall Box with 2" Bulkhead

The Atlantic Water Gardens Big Bahama FilterFall in the 26-inch format with a 2-inch bulkhead is a biological waterfall filter and falls spillway in one unit. The Big Bahama series sits at the top of a waterfall and receives water from the pump through the bulkhead inlet, passes it through the internal filter media, and spills it over the weir edge in a natural-looking cascade — combining biological pond filtration with the waterfall's visual and acoustic appeal.

Biological Filtration Built Into the Waterfall

The FilterFall design routes pond water through filter media inside the box before it flows over the weir — every litre of water returned to the pond via the waterfall has been processed through the biological and mechanical media inside the FilterFall housing. The 26-inch weir width creates a wide, naturalistic waterfall cascade, and the 2-inch bulkhead inlet accommodates pumps delivering up to approximately 6,000 GPH (22,712 LPH) before the weir width limits visual presentation. Pair with Matala filter media kits for three-stage biological and mechanical filtration.

Weir Width 66 cm (26")
Inlet 2" bulkhead
Flow Capacity Up to ~6,000 GPH (22,712 LPH)
Media Type Matala filter media (sold separately)
Recommended Pond Size Up to ~18,000 L (4,700 gal) with fish load

How to Install

Position the Big Bahama FilterFall at the top of the waterfall on a level, stable base. Connect the pump outlet to the 2-inch bulkhead inlet and fill the housing with Matala filter media in coarse-medium-fine sequence. Pack rocks and gravel around the housing exterior for a natural look. Start the pump and adjust the cascade flow by modifying the pump output. Clean media every 4–6 weeks during the active season.

Ideal for large-scale natural pond waterfalls and streams in Canadian koi pond installations.
