Size M/8 (Medium)
The Atlantic Water Gardens neoprene pond gloves in size M/8 are shoulder-length protective gloves designed for hands-in-the-pond work — plant maintenance, bottom cleaning, pump servicing, and liner inspection in cold water conditions. Neoprene provides thermal insulation that makes extended contact with cold pond water comfortable, while the full-arm-length design protects from shoulder to fingertip — essential when working in ponds deep enough that a shorter glove would allow water to pour over the cuff and down the arm.
Why Neoprene
Standard rubber or latex gloves offer little thermal protection in cold water. Neoprene's closed-cell foam structure traps a thin layer of water next to the skin which quickly warms to body temperature — the same principle used in wet suits. For pond work in spring and autumn when water temperatures are below 10°C (50°F), neoprene gloves dramatically improve comfort and allow thorough work to be completed without cutting sessions short due to cold.
Sizing
Size M/8 fits most average adult hands. For larger hands, the size S/7 is a smaller option. For the best fit and thermal performance, the glove should fit snugly without restricting finger movement. Check both hands — use the larger hand as the guide for sizing.
