Atlantic Water Gardens Typhoon Air Pump - 30 Lpm

30 LPM Pond Aerator for Year-Round Fish Health

The Atlantic Water Gardens Typhoon Air Pump at 30 LPM (litres per minute) is a compact, energy-efficient pond aerator designed for continuous outdoor operation. Delivering 30 LPM at 25W, this pump keeps dissolved oxygen levels high enough to sustain koi and goldfish through peak summer heat and to maintain an open hole in ice for winter gas exchange — two of the most critical safety applications in a Canadian pond.

Built for Canadian Outdoor Conditions

The Typhoon is rated for continuous duty at 115V and designed to operate in an outdoor enclosure or aeration cabinet year-round. It produces a maximum working depth of 2.1 metres (7 feet) at 3 PSI of output pressure — sufficient to drive a single deep-water diffuser or two shallow diffusers simultaneously. The 3/8-inch outlet connects to standard airline tubing for flexible placement of diffusers in any area of your pond.

Output 30 LPM (1.06 CFM)
Power 25W, 115V, 60 Hz
Max Working Depth 2.1 m (7 ft)
Max Pressure 3 PSI (0.21 bar)
Outlet Size 3/8" barb
Cord Length 1.8 m (6 ft)

How to Use

Position the Typhoon air pump above the waterline in a protected location — inside an aeration cabinet or a weatherproof enclosure. Connect 3/8-inch airline tubing from the outlet to your chosen diffuser. For ponds up to approximately 10,000 L (2,600 gal), the 30 LPM output provides sufficient aeration. Use with a deep-water diffuser for destratification, or two shallow diffusers for broad surface coverage. Safe for koi, goldfish, and all pond wildlife.

Ideal for small to medium Canadian koi ponds requiring reliable year-round aeration, especially through winter freeze-over.
