The Atlantic Water Gardens Vitronic 36 ballast and UVC transformer is the replacement electronic power supply for the Oase Vitronic 36W inline UV clarifier. The Vitronic 36 is the higher-powered UV model in the series, suitable for larger ponds and higher-flow applications where stronger UV output is required to maintain water clarity. This OEM ballast replacement restores full 36W UV output when the existing ballast fails.
Higher-Power UV for Larger Ponds
The Vitronic 36W provides twice the UV dose of the 18W model at a given flow rate, making it appropriate for ponds with heavier green water pressure, higher stocking densities, or greater UV demand. The ballast for the 36W lamp is distinct from the 18W unit — a 18W ballast cannot drive a 36W lamp to full output. Always use the model-specific ballast when replacing. How to Replace
Disconnect all power from the Vitronic 36 unit. Access the ballast housing and disconnect the wiring connections. Install the new ballast, reconnect all wiring per the service guide, and restore power. Confirm the UV lamp illuminates fully (blue-violet glow visible through the quartz sleeve). Always replace the UV lamp when replacing the ballast if the lamp has been in service more than 12 months.
