UV Lamp Power Supply
The Atlantic Water Gardens Vitronic/Cleartronic 9W transformer is the replacement power supply for compact 9W UV clarifiers in the Oase Vitronic and Cleartronic product families. The 9W UV transformer is designed for smaller ponds and low-flow installations where a full inline UV unit would be oversized — providing effective single-lamp UV treatment in a compact, energy-efficient package.
Compact UV for Smaller Ponds
The 9W UV format is the most energy-efficient option for green water control in ponds under 5,000 litres (1,300 gallons). When the transformer fails — typically identified by the UV lamp not illuminating despite confirmed electrical supply — this replacement transformer restores UV function immediately without replacing the UV head or bulb assembly. Confirm the 9W lamp itself is not the failure cause by testing with a known-good transformer before ordering, as lamps are a separately available part.

How to Replace
Disconnect power from the UV unit. Access the transformer connections per the Cleartronic or Vitronic 9W service guide. Disconnect and remove the old transformer. Install the new unit, ensuring all connections are fully seated. Restore power and confirm the UV lamp illuminates with a blue-violet glow through the quartz sleeve. Replace the UV lamp simultaneously if it has been in service more than 12 months.
