True Metric Tubing for Metric Barbed Fittings and European-Built Equipment

This metric 51 mm kink free pond tubing comes as a 50 ft (15.2 m) roll of flexible black tubing for high-flow, metric-plumbed waterfall, stream, and filtration systems. It is sized for true metric 51 mm barbed fittings and hose tails, the large-bore connection used on many European-built pumps and gravity filters. The smooth interior minimizes friction loss at flows where smaller tubing would choke a pump, and the heavy ribbed exterior keeps the line round under rock loads.

Metric Sizing Matters for a Leak-Free Seal

Big tubing moves a lot of water, so a marginal fit at the pump discharge leaks noticeably rather than slowly. This metric version matches 51 mm tails properly, keeping the joint tight where flow and vibration are highest. For systems built on standard North American 2" barbed fittings, use our standard 2" kink free hose instead. EasyPro supplies this size in 50 ft rolls, rated from -26°C to 88°C (-15°F to 190°F), buried or exposed.

How to Use

Cut the tubing squarely and soften the end in hot water before working it fully over the 51 mm barbed fitting. Clamp every joint with stainless steel hose clamps, doubled up on the pump discharge. Support long vertical sections so the weight of the water column is not carried by the fittings.
