The colour-coded design ensures the foam stages are always reinstalled in the correct order after cleaning — blue/red for fine filtration, green-accent for coarse.
Maintains Proper Filtration Sequence
Fine-stage foam captures the smaller particles that pass through the coarse stage, and the holder frame keeps the foam at the correct compression for effective trapping. If the holder is cracked or deformed, water routes around the foam instead of through it, dramatically reducing clarity. A new holder eliminates bypass immediately.

Installation
Open the filter lid and lift out the foam assembly. Remove the old holder, seat the foam into the replacement, and return the assembly to its position in the filter. Verify the colour sequence matches the factory layout. Close the lid and resume normal operation.
