The Oase BioSmart 5000–10000 / Biotec 5.1–10.1 drain valve lets you flush dirty water from the filter chamber during routine cleaning without disconnecting any plumbing. Opening the valve directs sludge-laden water to waste while the pump continues to run, speeding up the cleaning cycle and reducing the mess of manual draining.
Built for Repeated Use
The valve body is engineered from chemical-resistant polymer that withstands years of exposure to pond water and biological waste. The quarter-turn mechanism opens and closes positively, preventing accidental leaks between cleaning sessions. Replace the valve if it no longer shuts off completely or if the handle becomes stiff.

Installation
Shut off the pump and allow the filter to settle. Unscrew the old valve from the filter base, clean the threads, and hand-tighten the new valve with fresh thread-seal tape. Restart the pump and verify zero leakage at the valve body before walking away.
