Internal Chamber Seal for Compact Biotec Filters
The Oase Biotec 5/10 inner body lip seal creates a watertight barrier between the internal filter chambers, preventing unfiltered water from bypassing the media stages. A worn or damaged lip seal lets water take the path of least resistance, resulting in cloudy pond water despite apparently clean foam.
Invisible but Critical
Because this seal sits deep inside the filter body, its failure is easy to miss. The symptom is usually a gradual decline in clarity that does not improve with foam cleaning. Replacing the lip seal is inexpensive and straightforward — far easier than chasing a phantom water-quality problem all season.

Installation
Power off the pump, drain the filter, and disassemble the inner housing to access the seal groove. Peel out the old seal, clean the groove of mineral deposits, and press the new lip seal into place with the lip facing the water-flow direction. Reassemble, refill, and restart. Inspect this seal annually during spring startup.
Ideal for Biotec 5 and Biotec 10 owners experiencing reduced clarity that does not respond to normal foam cleaning.
