Replacement 2" Inlet/Outlet Fitting for Larger Pondmaster Pressurized Filters
This 2" threaded inlet/outlet fitting is the replacement connection for larger Pondmaster pressurized filters sized 5.5" to 8" in diameter. Larger filter housings run higher flow rates, putting more stress on fittings over time. When threads strip or the port cracks, flow drops and bypass leaks develop. Installation
Depressurize and drain the filter before removing the old fitting. Apply thread sealant tape to the new fitting's threads. Hand-thread into the filter port, then tighten with a strap wrench, do not use pipe wrenches on plastic fittings. Pressurize and check for leaks before returning to service. Upgrading from 1.5" to 2" fittings reduces head loss on high-flow filter installations.
