2 Inch Plumbing Connection for High-Flow PondMax Filters
The PondMax Replacement 2 Inch PVC Fitting connects the inlet and outlet plumbing to the PondMax PF4800 Pressure Filter and PondMax PF7200 Pressure Filter. A cracked or leaking fitting at these connection points is a common source of pressure loss and standing water around the filter housing.
Leak-Free 2 Inch Plumbing Connections
The PF4800 and PF7200 run at higher flow rates than smaller PondMax filters, so their inlet and outlet ports use 2 inch fittings sized for the additional volume. PVC fittings become brittle with UV exposure and freeze-thaw cycling over multiple Canadian seasons, and a hairline crack at the fitting threads can leak steadily even when the rest of the filter is sound. Replacing the fitting restores a tight seal without needing to replace the entire tank.

How to Use
Drain the filter and depressurize the plumbing before removing the damaged fitting. Clean the threads on the filter body and apply PTFE tape or PVC-rated thread sealant to the new fitting before hand-tightening, then snug with a wrench. Avoid overtightening PVC threads, as this can crack the filter body itself.
Ideal for PF4800 and PF7200 owners tracking down a leak at the inlet or outlet connection after a full-season inspection.
