Matched Barb Sizing for a Secure Hose Seal
Hosetail fittings let flexible tubing clamp directly onto the filter rather than requiring a rigid PVC connection, which simplifies seasonal setup and teardown. The barbed ridges that grip the inside of the hose wear smooth over repeated hose changes, and a worn hosetail will let a properly clamped hose slip or weep under pressure. Selecting the correct size for your existing tubing run is essential, an undersized hosetail will not seal even with a new hose clamp.

How to Use
Drain the filter and loosen the hose clamp before sliding the old hosetail free. Thread the new hosetail into the filter port with PTFE tape, then reinstall the hose over the barb and secure with a stainless hose clamp positioned behind the second barb ridge for maximum grip.
