Replacement Filter Mat Kit for the Signature Series 6.0 and 8.0 Skimmers
The Aquascape Signature Series 6.0 and 8.0 Pond Skimmer Filter Mat Kit provides factory-specification replacement filter media for the larger Signature Series 6.0 and 8.0 pond skimmer models. These high-capacity skimmers serve large ponds and high-flow waterfall systems; the oversized filter mat handles greater debris volumes and higher flow rates than the mats used in the Series 400 and 1000 skimmers.
Matched Media for High-Capacity Skimmer Performance
The Signature Series 6.0 and 8.0 skimmers process significantly higher flow rates than their smaller counterparts and serve ponds with larger water volumes and heavier debris loads from surrounding trees and landscape planting. The filter mat in these units must handle proportionally more fine debris between cleaning cycles. Using a correctly sized factory mat ensures the flow path through the skimmer is not restricted by an undersized or incorrectly dimensioned replacement pad.

How to Use
Open the skimmer lid and remove the debris basket. Lift the existing filter mat from the internal mat rack, noting the position and orientation. Slide the new mat into the rack with the same orientation. Secure the mat to the frame if the skimmer uses retaining screws. Replace the debris basket and close the skimmer lid. Clean the mat by hosing off accumulated debris every four to six weeks during active pond season; replace annually or when the mat cannot be cleaned to the point where normal flow is restored.
Ideal for large-pond owners and professional pond contractors maintaining Signature Series 6.0 and 8.0 skimmers as part of seasonal service, or replacing mats that have become permanently fouled.
