Automatic Float Sump Pump, 1/3 HP — 43 GPM Capacity
The Zoeller M53 Mighty-Mate activates automatically when water in your sump pit reaches the float trigger point and shuts off when it drains. At 43 GPM maximum flow, it moves water fast enough to keep up with all but the most severe basement flooding events. Cast iron construction throughout the motor housing, pump body, and switch case gives it a service life measured in decades rather than seasons.
Built to Last
Every M53 leaves the factory fully submerged in water and run against published performance specs before shipping. The impeller uses a vortex design that passes solids up to 1/2" without clogging — the size of debris typically found in a residential sump pit. Stainless steel hardware on the float guard, handle, and switch arm resists corrosion from the constant moisture exposure that degrades lesser pumps. The oil-filled motor controls operating temperature during extended run cycles.

Installation
Lower the pump into the sump basin at the lowest point of the pit. Connect 1.5" NPT discharge line and route it to a drainage point away from the foundation. Confirm the float moves freely through its full range before plugging in. Test by pouring water into the pit until the float triggers, then verify the pump shuts off when the pit drains.
Ideal for residential basements, crawl spaces, and utility rooms subject to seasonal seepage or groundwater intrusion.
