Threaded Drain Plug for Seasonal Shutdown and Maintenance
The Oase Biotec Screenmatic 18k / 24k drain plug seals the filter's drain port during normal operation and can be removed to empty the tank for maintenance or winter shutdown. A stripped, cracked, or missing plug means the filter cannot hold water — rendering the entire system inoperable until the plug is replaced.
Simple but Essential
The threaded design provides a positive seal that resists vibration and pressure. The plug includes an integral gasket that prevents slow weeping at the drain port. Replace the plug if the threads are damaged or if you notice a damp spot beneath the filter even with the drain closed.
| Specification | Details |

| Material | Reinforced polymer with rubber gasket |

Installation
Remove the old plug by unscrewing it from the drain port. Clean the threads and inspect the port for damage. Thread the new plug in hand-tight, then give it a quarter turn more to compress the gasket. Refill the filter and check for drips before walking away.
Ideal for annual spring startup when you refill the Screenmatic filter after winter draining, or anytime the existing plug no longer seals properly.
